It's under "File->Properties->General-> Use User's data

Then you *must* fill your data in Tools->Options->LibreOffice->User data.

Finally, the cursor potion is remembered in each document created or saved by the User data's owner.

Thanks - but what precisely is one to add in User data section? It already has my name in the relevant box and as I am the only one using this computer it isn't like LibO is going to get confused by multiple users or anything. Moreover, I again don't see any option in either of the two places you cite wherein it states that it will move the cursor to the position of the last save. Nor do I understand how my filling in user data is going to amend that, but I'm happy to accept that there are more things under the heavens than I will ever even come close to understanding!
