Indeed. And as you say, modern devices make that difference irrelevant. Old quoted parts of mails
are often not displayed by the software, mobile devices only have small screens that make bottom
posting impractical, and copy/cut/paste functions are so tedious to use for modern written
communication that you can't blame people for not removing quoted materials anymore. We are talking
about a totally different way of using communicating devices so it is about time to at least
understand what is going on on the ground so as to not make unrealistic demands.
