I have been in touch with SourceForge for quite a while, and they also
offered us to use their download system. I didn't take up on this yet, as we
have about 70 worldwide mirrors that we can manage centrally, so I thought
manually uploading files at SourceForge isn't worth the effort.
Did you check our full list of mirrors, if there is one that suits you? If
not, we might re-investigate the SouceForge option. However, if we have to
use their uploading/downloading system, it will be lots of more work for us.
I think rsync over SSH is a solution for much less extra work, please refer
to http://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/sourceforge/wiki/Rsync%20over%20SSH .
Greater downloading speed means a faster distribution of LibO. If that would
not create a lot more of work, I hope that SF can be used together with our
mirrors in the future.
