Google Docs (and possibly other ODF implementations such as KOffice)
compatability is also an issue. Are there ongoing efforts to get
Google Docs to be more compatible with OOo/LibreOffice's
implementation of ODF?

For instance, in a Google Docs spreadsheet, any random number formulae
are re-randomized every time anything changes in the spreadsheet. In
OOo/LO, a value is only re-randomized when the cell itself is edited,
which I think is a great improvement.

Another issue with Google docs is when you click to download a file,
it has an option called "OpenOffice" as a format option. As we all can
guess there is a problem here because
1. Openoffice is a product and not a format
2. this could confuse people who use Abiword, Koffice and LibreOffice
and simply want ODF (which is what the format is downloaded as).
