I'm very surprised you HAVE to use MS Office at University. Surely as long
as your submissions are in the correct format, the University shouldn't give
a damn what software you use, or do the University Software Police inspect
your computer every so often to ensure it hasn't been "infected" with
anything non-Microsoft?

When I was attempting to study at NJIT, http://www.njit.edu/ online, I
had a similar problem.
The universities are totally infected by microsoft software...
it is very sad.
