Hi Todd!

This may be a silly question, by why do you need an icon theme at all?
Wouldn't you normally want to use the native icon theme if at all
possible? Or are there platforms that do not provide native themes?

I hope that I understand your remark - you are referring to platform
based icons? For example, Microsoft Windows that provides a set of
default icons? If yes, then these native themes (independent of the
platform) are not sufficient, since open/save/whatever cover only very
few functionality available in LibO.

As long as we keep the current approach (toolbar = icons = functions =
many of them), there is a need for a built-in theme that - at least -
covers all functions. Indeed, there are some other themes that have been
made available to better fit on other platforms - like the great Tango
Icons Set (also requiring additional icons to match the tons of
functions in LibO).

I hope I got your comment right ... otherwise, please correct me.

Bye,
Christoph
