Isn't it
feasible to have EPS show in ODT documents at a higher resolution while
Iit al depends on how your originals EPS pictures are made, when using
more pixels you automaticly have a better preview and bigger files !
retaining the earlier good result in the PDF file?
when the PDF is made with the Postscript output, then its using the
vector graphic parts of the picture not the preview !
