Under Windows, as you know if you don't a fast computer, LibreOffice startup is not very fast, even Quickstarter is running. I made a small python script using Uno and the LibreOffice headless function in order to use the already started soffice.exe to open a file. This script speed up opening file by double-clicking on it in Windows Explorer. This script has been made for LO 3.6 but should works on any release. (you should modify the files *.cmd) To install, just launch install_LO_faststart.cmd to modify windows registry. To uninstall, simply launch uninstall_LO_faststart.cmd It's works ! But it's just a proof of concept... https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=46507 -- View this message in context: http://nabble.documentfoundation.org/Want-a-very-fast-start-tp4009255.html Sent from the Discuss mailing list archive at Nabble.com. -- Unsubscribe instructions: E-mail to discuss+help@documentfoundation.org Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.documentfoundation.org/www/discuss/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted
