I'm thinking about the one related to object alignment in Calc

Hi Carlo,
did you poke Eike yet, whether he considers the fix safe for 3.4?
Yes, just now as I think you have seen! ;-)
, but also the annoying just caught related to Base opening and
immediately closing table view
(https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=42612), that seems to
be a regression,
That bug is not even fully analysed, let alone fixed yet - so why
should we even start pondering to delay a release of an otherwise
improved version?
You are right, but this one is the only one I read about in these days
and that is a regression...
I'm sure there are some other ones ("3.4's most annoying bugs")...
What do we think about?
Release 3.4.4.2 if no showstoppers are found, and then monitor what
gets fixed / cherry-picked on the -3-4 branch for deciding if/when
to release further updates. :)
Ok, I have understood!
But let me say that I have always the bigger idea that TDF is thinking
to make people to jump directly from 3.3 to 3.5 one and that 3.4 is an
intermediate branch that let us to grow in quality and functions/power.
I say this because Rainer (Bielefeld) told me (on September the 1st,
2011) that TDF are fixing all bugs in Master trunk (3.5) and cherry pick
something good for 3.4's releases... This means that 3.5 may be better
than any 3.4 is now and will ever be.
That's good, but in this way we "wait a complete, rock solid and
professional (appearance, rendering) suite" until 2012's first Quarter
and so I always ask myself if we are loosing many chances, too much time
and so on...
OpenDocument files are used, but not so widely yet: there is a good walk
to do on this... The more Libò installation we all are getting the more
sending and receiving an OpenDocument file become a daily thing and most
people will use that open format and spread Libò APIs, interest, TDF
certification (!!!) and so on...
That's my opinion. :-)
Cheers,

Have a nice evening,
Carlo
