looking at android sdk it looks
super simple to setup and work with. all that is needed once the sdk is
installed is a plugin for eclipse, and easy to setup a basic to a full
android development kit.

If defining the work as porting rather than rewriting. IMHO, NDK r5 is
must
use due to the complicity of LibreOffice. Or if you build the whole
structrue on VM, yes, please go SDK and that's not porting anymore.
