I'm able to open with libreoffice remote files in windows via Winscp

why I cannot in linux suse 11.3 via sftp://mymachine ????
thanks

Are you using KDE or Gnome?

-Todd

KDE 4.4.4 on opensuse 11.3

That may be the problem, KDE uses KIO for browsing network files, and
I am not sure libreoffice properly supports it. Someone who knows
more can probably say with more certainty.

You're right Todd: the only way to open a remote file on KDE is to
mount the network share locally. If you need to reach a file via ssh
you can try sshfs
Ercole
many thanks, mounting with sshfs it works :-)) . As you know is the support to KIO in the libo' agenda??
