I use; news://news.gmane.org/gmane.comp.documentfoundation.libreoffice.user
It is NOT my fault that the Foundation's implementation of GMane is not
working properly.
The last post I made to; news://news.gmane.org/gmane.network.tor.user
arrived in that news group within 15 minutes.
I have no plans to join an email list.

indeed, it is a lack of functionality on our side, since the current release of the mailing list manager does not support GMANE moderation automatically. GMANE adds a special header of GMANE-verified mail addresses. If that header is in, a message could be automatically moderated to the list. However, only the new version of mlmmj, to be released during the next months, will provide that. In the meantime, people have to be either moderated, or subscribe to the nomail version (as explained on our website).
