It often happens that we have to shorten the translation to adapt to the
dialog because some dialogs can't be modified. I know it's not ideal but
by the past it was almost for all dialogs that I had to count the
letters, now it's pretty rare.
May be we should discuss with Adam how he sees it. I'll contact him
today and will add you in copy. Let's try to solve this on our end.
This discussion should took place on the l10n list, because maybe other
languages are concerned and should check their translation too.
