Hello Owen, Nothing is done nor decided. I understand the city council does not share the mayor's point of view. From what it looks like it is a political issue that uses technical arguments. Best,. Charles. On 19 août 2014 10:22:44 CEST, Owen Genat <owen.genat@gmail.com> wrote:

The ZDNet article here <http://www.zdnet.com/after-a-10-year-linux-migration-munich-considers-switching-back-to-windows-and-office-7000032714/> appears to offer more detail than most. Scant mention is made of LibreOffice in any of the articles. Does anyone have a clearer understanding of what this may mean in terms of LibreOffice use if the policy is reversed and a transition from LiMux (Ubuntu-based distribution) back to Microsoft Windows begins? LibreOffice can of course run on either platform, but part of the issue seems to have been OOXML support when exchanging files with customers. It will be disheartening to see a reversal after so much effort. ----- Best wishes, Owen. -- View this message in context: http://nabble.documentfoundation.org/Recent-reversal-questioning-of-policy-by-Munchen-government-tp4119469.html Sent from the Discuss mailing list archive at Nabble.com. -- To unsubscribe e-mail to: discuss+unsubscribe@documentfoundation.org Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.documentfoundation.org/www/discuss/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted
