I just want to advise that screen resolution can be changed by going to
System , Preferences , Monitors , turn off Same Image In All Monitors , your
monitor should be highlighted instead of Laptop. No need for Vbox. It still
needs a bit of work please from Ubuntu system developers because Wastebasket
Time and Date get shifted in the control panel but I can get 1440 x 900
which is my monitors correct resolution.
