I hope that there will be thing called "service pack" for LibO b/c it's a
hard & dangerous work to just fresh-install a new minor release to fix some
bugs.
And I'm eager to wait for the fix that LibO can save xlsx sheet over 65536
rows entirely.

But I think you'll find that even in OO if there's a new release then the
update function just downloads the whole new file and does an automatic
install over.
the only thing the Update function does that you can't do yourself is to
automatically notify you of a new release...
