Wrong. The purpose of gmane is to receive and write messages with a newsreader rather than an 
email client. If you do not know what a newsreader or usenet or News Servers (NNTP) are try a 
search with Google.

Every post through gmane includes the posters email address. I am posting this through gmane. 
Check the headers.

Totally irrelevant statement. Learn how gmane works. Using gname has nothing to do with spam.
