Just a quick intro. Great to see an independent foundation for the OOo
code base. It has been needed since the outset.
I'm working with Alexandro Colorado and the certification project to get
an official certification developed that is accredited by national
governments and referenced to the European Qualifications Framework. We
should be able to get EU finance for training community members as
assessors and generate a revenue stream to support the Foundation. To
get an idea, ECDL/ICDL did 9 million certificates in 43 countries last
year. That would generate revenue to employ 200 full-time engineers to
work on the project and provide expenses and retainers for key
personnel.
