I think that having a lot of icons for a lot of different langues will make
 it
hard to recognice.

And its a good idea to promote the liberty in the name.

What about one flame like in the hand of the liberty statue in NY?

It like the kernel of the liberty, its flame, its light.
That will be recognoscible for all langues.

The name will not be freeoffice, officelibre, officelliure, officelivre, ..
. it will
be allways libreoffice(witch has a little internationalization effect in th
e 2
diferent langues)

I prefer not to return to openoffice, libreoffice is much more better.

So this 2 are new proposals:

But its no sense to talk about liberty,

This may be an idea for a wide-area-of-use Libre icon or logo...

Idea:

Something along the lines of a rounded or more circular artwork
icon/logo that has text presenting the products name in various
languages, each one easily visible, yet each following the curving text
idea.

Suitable for software logo, website logo, icon's, marketing, etc.

Reasoning:

The rounded idea lets various languages be seen. Obviously, your
particular language will be seen, and you then know what software or
"brand" you are dealing with.

The rounded idea lets "one" logo or icon do the work of many, as you
would otherwise need many logo's, maybe all the same graphics, but you
might need to change the language of the logo, etc.

The idea ALSO helps present and further the idea that LibreOffice is
indeed a world-wide product, worthy of being seen and used by all of us.

The use of various languages should also make users of all nationalities
-- or at least as many as will fit on such a logo artwork -- feel
comfortable that they are being addressed....gives a more "personal" touc
h.

Hopefully, this "idea" is presented with clarity, and I toss it out into
the ether to see what others might think.
