Re: [tdf-discuss] Question about localized web pages

Hi,

I'm deeply sorry for sending the same messages. That's my fault.
But, it doesn't mean I urge prompt answers nor a concrete action :)
I can easily imagine that founders are very busy at the moment.
Moreover, I respect the great works done by them.

The intention of my question is to know whether there is a plan or an
ongoing work to create localized web pages does or not, so that we can
be ready for assistance and translation, or we can just wait until it
comes to be published.

As for new lists, I'm looking forward to them to discuss details.

Best regards,
 Takashi Nakamoto

Hi,

your messages could both be read on the mailing list but I think the
foundation-founders are very busy at the moment and can't answer all
questions immediately.
As far as I know additional mailinglists and localized webpages are
planned, the lists will appear as soon as possible.

Stay tuned

Hello, and conguratulations for the new Document Foundation!

First of all, speaking for all community members and users in
Japan, we'r
e glad to see the announcement. I hope The Document Foundation will
benefit all active contributors in Japan and users including
governments and comme rcial entities.

Currently, I'm translating the announcement into Japanese. Although
many
of Internet media in Japan have already played up the establishment
of The Document Foundation and LibreOffice as a big news, which is a
good thing, I believe translation of the announcement will help
people know the true rea sons why LibreOffice launched. The
translation will be published  through our Japanese NLC tools
(mailing list, wiki or something) very soon.

I have one question about localization or translation of the web
site. Is
there any plan to have localized pages or translation of The
Document Foun dation's web site? As we will be able to provide
language packs of LibreOff ice (as far as I see all relevant mailing
lists), we may need to translate the web site in other languages so
that local people will be able to downlo ad and try LibreOffice
feeling relieved. As for translation into Japanese, I can contribute
my time.

Best regards,
 Takashi Nakamoto
