Hi *,

for those who joined after I announced the helper (and to get some
feedback on it - do others use it at all? If not (and you're using
gmail): What are you using instead?)
The other moderators, it works quite well ;-)
  I'll post again the instructions
on how to include the moderation helper to gmail's sidebar

1) Enable labs (Options/Settings button → Labs)
2) Activate "Add any gadget by URL" lab
3) you'll then have a "Gadgets" setting-page. On that page add
http://pumbaa.documentfoundation.org:7780/mod/gmailwidget as URL for
the widget to add

if you don't want to add it, or don't use gmail, you can see a regular
html version (that also spits out some debug-values) here:
http://pumbaa.documentfoundation.org:7780/mod
Didn't know this one.
Once added, you'll have a new sidebar gadget in the lower left. When
receiving a message to moderate that is base64 encoded, and thus not
readable copy the text like this
#####
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="utf-8"
Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64

T24gU3VuLCBEZWMgMTksIDIwMTAgYXQgMjo1NyBBTSwgUkdCIEVTIDxyZ2IubWxkY0BnbWFpbC5j
[...]
######

I.e. Include the line with the charset and the one with the encoding.
More header lines are OK, as it will then discard anything up to the
first empty line, you don't need to manually pick the important two.

When using the translate link, it will decode the message and
translate it to english.

You can also use it to translate plaintext to english, in this case,
just copy the text alone into the input field.
Thanks for your explanation Christian. Great if the new release will deal with that.

Kind regards
Sophie
